Sardinia

Sardinia is an island that is known all over the world for its geographical features, and the geography of Sardinia serves as both rugged and mild in its own unique way. The island is adjacent to the country of Corsica, and the two landmasses are divided by the Strait of Bonifacio. In the past, travelers who have come to Sardinia usually noted the land for the great inherent beauty which is prevalent in its great wilderness.

In most parts of the island, vast mountain ranges occupy the terrain while several large stretches of flat lowlands take up the remaining areas. The island itself is all very lush and green. Due to its wet climate, there are plenty of trees, flowers and other vegetation to be found in Sardinia. The island's beautiful wilderness has grown to be the center of its economic structure.

A large array of reserves and various national parks have largely become key attractions of the island, and the many tourists who visit them each year are what keep Sardinia's business so strong.

There are three major national parks in Sardinnien. There is the Asinara National Park, the Archipelago of La Maddalena's National Park, and the National Park of the Bay of Orosei and Gennargentu. Each one of them are very unique tourist spots in their own right. A visit to the island Sardinia is sure to be a memorable one.
